Create a great bubble

We have created this guide with advice and instructions to help you get the most out of using Boblberg. When you create your own bubble, there are some fields you need to fill out:

Title: Write a short and precise title that describes the overall content and message of the bubble. The title must not exceed 35 characters.

Text: In the text field, you can decide how much you want to write. To get as many responses and inquiries as possible, we recommend that you write a detailed and precise text in which you explain what or who you would like to find on Boblberg. Here, you can optionally add some information about yourself so that other users can get to know you better. For example, you can write your age in the text field if it is relevant to the activity, experience, or social interaction that the bubble is about. Feel free to include your suggestions and preferences regarding where, how, and when you would like the meeting/event/activity to take place. Boblberg values the protection of your personal information, and therefore, we advise you not to share your full name, email, phone number, or address in the text field.

City: Please write the name of your city or the city where the meeting/event/activity will take place. This is optional, but it makes it easier for other users to determine if it's a city they can reach. For example, if you live in Zealand but are planning a trip to Aarhus and would like to find someone to visit a museum with, you should enter 'Aarhus' as the city in the field.

Image: You have the option to add/upload an image that matches your bubble. This makes your bubble more interesting and visible to other users.

The image doesn't have to be of yourself; it can also be a neutral image of nature, a painting, or something entirely different.
If you don't want to upload an image yourself, we can find an image that matches your bubble.

When Meeting in Real Life

At Boblberg, we want the chemistry to be great when two or more bubblers meet for the first time. That's why we offer 5 good tips to kickstart your first conversation.

1. Remember to show interest in the conversation and ask about the other person.
2. Keep in mind that your new friend wants to get to know you better.
3. If possible, don't overthink things. The other person is also meeting you for the first time, so ask away!
4. Prepare some topics for conversation before you meet. Perhaps you've been discussing common interests or the like.
5. Be yourself - take the plunge!

Why is it called Boblberg?

Boblberg's name was determined by a user panel.

What is Boblberg?

Boblberg is a citizen-to-citizen portal that provides the framework for a digital community. You can learn more about Boblberg on the menu page:

What happens to my personal information?

Your information stays with Boblberg and will not be shared with third parties. Your email address serves as your login, and other users can only see your name.

What things are not allowed?

If bubbles are created related to dating, buying and selling, or seeking paid work, as well as offering paid work, Boblberg reserves the right to delete these bubbles immediately.
In case of repeated bubbles related to the above, Boblberg reserves the right to delete the individual user.
It's important to maintain a respectful tone on Boblberg, and it's a platform where all users should feel safe. In cases of harassment of other users or other inappropriate behavior, Boblberg reserves the right to delete the respective user.

How do I sign up as a user?

When you visit Boblberg without being logged in, you can sign up as a user on the homepage. Here, you should choose your municipality and birth year, enter your name, email address, and a desired password. Once you've done this, simply click the 'Become a user' button, and you will be registered as a Boblberg user.

Is it free to be a user of Boblberg?

It is free to sign up as a user of Boblberg. Boblberg is made available in cooperation with your municipality. If we do not collaborate with your municipality, you may experience some limitations.

Am I bound by a membership when I sign up for Boblberg?

No. You can cancel your membership at any time if you no longer wish to be a part of Boblberg. This can be done by sending an email to support@boblberg.dk.

How do I log out of Boblberg?

When you are logged into Boblberg, the site remembers you, so you don't have to enter your login information every time. If you want to log out of Boblberg, click on the menu at the bottom right corner of the website, then select 'Settings' and 'Log Out'.

How do I reset my password?

If you have forgotten your password, you can click on 'Reset here' on the login page for existing users. If you want to change your existing password, click on the menu at the bottom right of the screen, select 'Profile', and then 'Change password'.

Can I delete my user account on Boblberg?

If you want to have your user account deleted on Boblberg, you can send an email to support@boblberg.dk.

What do I do if I move to another municipality?

If you move to another municipality, you can change it by going to the 'Menu' at the bottom right and then selecting 'Profile'. Alternatively, we can help you change your municipality on Boblberg. Just send an email to support@boblberg.dk with your username and the municipality you are moving to.

What if I live in a municipality that does not yet collaborate with Boblberg?

You can sign up as a user on Boblberg for free, even if your municipality is not yet part of it. We will notify you by email as soon as your municipality becomes a part of Boblberg. You can create your own bubble but may experience some limitations.

Why is it called a bubble?

A bubble is a figurative term for a post in which you can write who you are and what you are looking for. The name 'bobl' comes from Boblberg.

How do I create a bubble?

After becoming a user of Boblberg, you can now create bubbles. You create a bubble by clicking 'Create Bubble' at the bottom center of the page or at the top right of the page. Here, you need to fill out the form with the bubble's: title, description, location, and the gender that should be able to see it. You can choose whether you want to include a picture in the bubble or not. This is optional. Finally, click 'Create Bubble' at the bottom of the page. Now, your bubble is created, and others have the opportunity to contact you regarding your bubble.

Is it possible to create more than one bubble?

Yes, you can create as many bubbles as you want.

How do I edit the text and picture in my bubble?

You can edit the text and picture in your bubble by going to 'Mine' at the top of the page. Here, you can see your created bubbles. Click on the bubble you want to edit, then click on the small icon at the top right corner. You can then make your desired changes and click 'Save Bubble' at the bottom right.

How do I add/remove a bubble as a favorite?

When you are on a bubble, you can add the bubble as a favorite by clicking the star icon at the top right corner. It will then appear under 'Favorites' on the homepage. If you want to remove the bubble as a favorite, simply click the star icon on the bubble again, and it will disappear from 'Favorites'.

How do I delete my bubble?

If you want to delete a created bubble, go to 'Mine' at the top of the homepage. Here, you will see your created bubbles. Click on the desired bubble you want to delete, then click the icon in the top right corner. Now, a red button will appear, allowing you to delete the bubble.

Can I search for other users?

Yes, it is possible to search for other users and their bubbles by using the search field at the top of the page.

How many people can see my bubble?

Everyone can see your bubble, and you can see everyone else's bubbles. When you create a bubble, you can add a location, making it easier for others in the same area to find your specific bubble.

Are there profiles on Boblberg?

There are no personal profiles on Boblberg.

What can others see on my profile?

On Boblberg, you do not have a profile where others can see your content. The only thing others can see about you is your name when you have created a bubble.

How much can you see when you are not logged in?

You have the opportunity to see other people's bubbles, read our blog, and stories.

Can I, as an organization, search for members?

Yes, you are more than welcome to search for members on Boblberg.

How do I best search for volunteers?

You can do this best by creating a bubble where you describe what your organization is and what you are looking for, or you can contact locals directly who are looking for new communities.

What is a message?

A message is a private message between you and another user. This message will not be visible to anyone other than those in the conversation.

Can I create group messages/conversations?

No, Boblberg does not support group messages or conversations.

How do I find my messages?

You can view your messages under 'Messages' at the bottom left corner. Here, you will find an overview of your private messages that you have written.

Has someone sent me a private message?

Messages are visible at the bottom left corner, and there is a small red bubble with a number inside it, indicating how many messages you have received. You will receive an email or notification if someone has sent you a message.

How do I contact other users?

You can get in touch with other users by clicking the 'Send Message' button on another user's bubble.

How do I contact Boblberg if I have questions?

If you have questions for Boblberg, you are always welcome to send us an email at support@boblberg.dk.

Can I contact Boblberg by phone?

You can send an email to support@boblberg.dk with your question and phone number, and we will be happy to call you and assist you over the phone.
